    The Lazy Perfectionist

The lazy perfectionist is the guy who has designed the house in his mind, the garden, an urban playpad with period features and a modern style.  An open style kitchen with a view over the garden and a glazedroof and eating area to the side.  The lazy perfectionist has it in his mind but the reality never comes. The enclosed garden with its leafy sides, the lounge area to the rear with covered vines to chill in on those warm summer nights.  The house is warm within with open loft area with cinema pad and gaming galore.

He goes to work everyday with new insight and practical approaches to his project which saves the day again.  Everything is in order and planned for the year, no reaction to the coming storms, its all in hand and known to all.  Work finishes on time and the night swirls to good effect, the London party scene, quiet night in a bar, a gig, an arty event or two.  Sitting tired on a train he dreams it all again.  Is the job secure?

To pursue your dreams is all good and well but sometimes you need a helping hand, a few pounds in the bank and your mind not endlessly spinning a yarn.  To have the time is all that he wants to out his thoughts to good effect, to not get bogged down in the detail that perfection desires and not end up in this halfway house.

    New Year Adventures 2008/9

Well if everyday could be one over christmas and new year then London would be a great place to travel and work in, no meetings, no people and no stupid free papers to clog the trains.  So this year has been full of adventures from travel to America at the start of the year through to Helsinki ferry adventures towards the end was completed by a trip to the premiere Hitchin night sport, a club called Remix for New Year.  With party of the year as it  was titled and two rooms serving up drum n Bass and some Indie all was looking good.  Arrival after some great burgers at Bombora said otherwise, although a dingy and actually a pretty cool venue. We were oldest by about 10 years and the music with some great tunes ruined by attempts to mix and scratch the tunes!  Murder on the dancefloor indeed.   Only solution was to drink and attempt to drink the night away, good company, white boa and a 5am exit.  All good fun, we should just shoot the DJ's.  Actually had the opportunity to run him over the next day, benefits of living in a small town!  Need to go out in Hitchin more often.

A Friday at work spent actually doing work followed by watching of the first part of Che, at the Curzon, best cinema this side of the Rex (which was on Son of Rambo, which i rented over the break).  Good film done almost documentary style with a great performance of Che, very undertsated.  Needed some more characterisation of the people who fought and lived with him but looking forward to part two.  Some great food beforehand as well, can't remember the name but good Kento! :)

Sunday has been spent at Winter Wonderland at Hyde park enjoying the last of the christmas festivities with some expensive skating (or beer drinking while watching!) and some entertaining rollercoaster rides and stuff.  This all leads onto not wanting to return to the formalities of work and early rising!  There has to be a plan B! 3 years to the end of the Mayan calendar!
