November 20 James Bond vs SonyWent to see the latest James Bond film last week, really enjoyed it except for the stupid amount of Sony products advertised in the film. It does seem that MI6 got rid of Q and outsourced their department to Sony. During the film the following was noted, Sony Vaio computer (at least 4 times!), Sony walkman, Sony CD, Sony tv, Sony mobile phone range (yes all the latest models!) and Sony camera. I think all it was lacking was a Playstation 3 but they probably didn't have enough untis produced for James to be pictured relaxing with one after a hard night killing people!
Actually the only thing that would have made the film better would be if James Bond used one of those exploding Sony batteries as a way of escaping from prison or blowing up a car...
Good film otherwise!
November 06 The wrong car...At the moment I need something to laugh at other than myself and my day has ended on such that high note. A certain IT bod, who shall remain nameless in our team thought it would be highly amusing to draw on my frosted car a big cock and write you are gay on it. It must have been a fantastic piece of work as he was gone several minutes before i got a phone call to explain all. However the MX5 is a popular car in the easyJet car park and he managed to to draw a giant cock on the IT directors MX5 and not my one! Unfortunately he realised and wiped it off...
On a side note we here at head office are in a lockdown state caused by some potential planned protests against carbon emissions. Lockdown means that we have a trained guard group of ex-Gurkers and a number of police cars guarding both the head office and the airport. We also can't get served coffee unless we have our pass and can't enter the building either, why we can't buy coffee I don't know! Anyway that resuled in one of our guys not getting into the building and being sent home for the day. Thats despite half the building knowing who he was! Anyway we later found his pass on his desk... Almost like he planned it?! Madness being very like the protesters who eventually got the wrong head office and were seen protesting on the roof of easyGroup HQ in London.
As much as i am for the reduction in carbon emissions I really think the protesters are barking up the wrong tree! There are better targets than easyJet and companies which are far more damaging than we are. Wonder what there CO2 offset will be for the protest, train/car journey.... etc...
