    Playstation 3

Having not shot anything for a while due to the demise of the Xbox and my inability to get it fixed, I was in need of stress relief so a few shops later and i am the proud owner of a second hand PS3 with Killzone.  I have to say first impressions say this is so much better than the Xbox purely because I can't hear it, looks good and plays well.  Very chilled day.  Mmmm, should really be buying the fridge freezer.

Private members club - Covent Garden - 27/2

After meeting my parents for dinner at Carluccios, I headed to the The Hospital (http://www.tipped.co.uk/listings/67537/the-hospital), the home for the arty instatutionalist, a private members bar spread over 4 floors with food, cinema, bars and a games room playing Xbox Rock band.  Pretty amazing place filled with beautiful people.  You head in through reception looking like something out of a habitat catlogue and sign in as guests of Pat, Jo's Accenture boyfriend.  A lift to the 4th floor and a bar with views over London and the wheel, a bar bill later then it is into the games room to watch some arty drunks sing their heart out to random rock songs.  Find out that the V&P guy actually only does it on the side and is a record producer in Canada and has helped produce some of the offshoots of the Wu Tang.  Given the size of the band this could actually be my uncle so maybe not as impressive.  The club is amazing but not feeling it being very tired after another stupid week at work.  Dream of sliding home aboard the Barclay card waterslide and another bar bill later i am home.  Hoping for a chilled weekend and a good Sainsbury's database upgrade.

One week till the MK half marathon.

Maybe a owner of a Playstation 3 tomorrow, after seeing my parents for food in Farringdon.

Scoring the best goal in the world 18/2

Best goal in the world, fact, half way, left foot, volley, nobody moved, bottom right corner.  Still being talked about this week.  Hopefully back to the scoring ways.  Bring on the Accenture game for the 3/3.

    Camden Koko - Monday 23/2

I can now say I have witnessed an American Idol in action, Kelly clarkson looking a few pounds heavier singing 6 songs, only one of which I have heard but can no longer remember.  Also got to see White lies (think Joy Division, Smiths and The Killers rolled into one), Ladyhawk, Chris Cornell (of ex-Soundgarden fame) and also Sarah Cox, who very kindly posed for a photo and passed the night with some banter about whether she looked good or should just have pulled a face.  It sounds like this was a close up conversation but was actually over 3 feet while she introduced a few bands that weren't there, bloke from Take That and Starsailor.  The magic of TV, with some compare bod getting the crowd to rock out to random music just in case the bands were shit.  Seemed that everyone was there for Kelly!  Happy birthday to the girl I was with by the way.

    Drunk in London 20/2

Well I spent my first ever all nighter in London, nothing like living your twenties in your thirties.  This was the first get together with the Finish holiday gang for a few drinks and catch up.  Went to a Finish bar, thought it was a bit shit and then went to Revolutions in Soho for drinks and bad attempts to meet some women.  Ended up chatting to two girls who I think were from up north, but no longer sure as much of the night is a haze.  I do remember them both kissing so maybe things were never really going to take off.  A few random bars, a bit of dancing, yes you heard that right and then first train home following a burger in an all night cafe in Kings Cross.  Only notable end to the night was Steve falling asleep on his train and waking back in London after going to Hertford and back.  The down side is trying to run in the morning after a few hours sleep, at least it is warming up!

    The Plan

The plan never fits, it is out of date and not planned to be followed by anyone, if the time on the plan was spent not on the plan then the plan would be finished without the plan. If the plan of the plan was spent time on by the people not writing or following the plan then nothing would come of the work being done from the plan.  In the end the plan is just the plan but dont read  the plan without knowing the plan thats not on plan.

    The MSF challenge

Well this post is likely to get me into trouble one day but in the absence of anything else in my life at the moment the challenge was worth a go.  I have been on My Single Friend the dating site from her with the big tits off the Property Ladder; having been introduced to the site through a friend at work and after few random dates and conversations I have discovered that much of the Accenture team at work is dating through this site.  Considering they never go home this is likely the only source of amusement except for some late night finger hand action.  Bankers, teachers and lawyers need also apply.

Anyway, I digress, the challenge came about through Helen, a fellow MSF friend and Accenture fiend who I got chatting to over a few wines one evening, actually worse the pirate Accenture messenger system at Sainsbury's, came up with a challenge.  The challenge was to chat to and date the many random people who came up on MSF and emailed you, who you wouldn't normally consider because they broke the MSF rules of engagement. These are many but include No picture, only one picture likely to mean it was taken several years ago when they looked good, they come from Hitchin and have been inbred there for several generations, or, had no depth in their opening mail, 'hello, how are you?' does not wash these days for conversation.

Ok, so to date this bet has involved cake in a random tea shop in Hitchin, a very long drink in a pub in London before dashing off to meet my brother 300 miles away in Dorset and one person who refused to smile and possibly never had.  Now the question is how long does the bet stand - until we meet our dating stalker and die, before I run out of money?  She will win there as can date investment wankers till she dies.

I have not given up though, if the right person turns up and several have been and gone from the Japanese loving girl to the Kiwi girl then I will be there and i think that is the win.

    The Mix tape is back

The years have passed since the cassette player was banished from my household to be replaced by round shiney discs.  The days gone of coming home from school turning on the evening session and taping the latest new release by Suede or Ride and playing it over and over.

However it is the art of the mix tape that has been lost forever or so I thought until I blipped  This art would require great skill and planning in putting together a set of tunes that came to 45 minutes or maybe utilise those few additional unknown seconds before the tape flipped and the song was lost.  Then there was the hours of decision of which tune would open the tape and which would close it, would it be released to a friend or loved one and what would the reaction would be; like opening night at the theatre, would the show succeed, would they be playing that tape until it died?

There are some classic moments that have come in my life through being given a tape to discover classics such as Pavement, Spiritualized and even Ratcat!  Now that blipping is here, surely a term for the dictionary within a few years, the late night mixing is truely saved!  God save the mix!
