    GNR Training

My "good" friend Angus reminded me that it was time that I started training for the Great North Run in September.  He suggested I try and make up for lost training by running 100miles over the weekend to make up.  Given the fact that this is the wettest July ever it made perfect sense to go out running, so tonight I have just run 8 miles in 60 minutes.  Now I was keeping a steady pace and reckon I could have gone on for a few more miles, it didn't even rain!  Anyway by my reckoning a further 5 miles, each mile taking 8 minutes should see me through in 1hr 40mins.  Not bad.

This is my first blog in a while due to my obsession with facebook and in that time I have decided to move on from easyJet and go work in the city for Sainsburys; got a lodger; found my clothes don't smell after a night out; my dads retired (lucky bastard!); had the worst hangover of my life after Fionas birthday and got drenched at the ROTW music festival in Hitchin.  Not to mention losing our unbeaten football run and slumping to 3 straight defeats and losing the custody battle of my work giraffe to Karen!

Anyway, can't stop too long as I have another 92 miles to run this weekend....
